My Ghost Only Haunts Her Favorite Vampires (The Haunted Lovers Department Book 1)
What happens when a dangerous Vampire meets a Ghost that’s a goodie-two-shoes?
He falls for her, of course.
Thea Donovan has heard the stereotypes about Ghosts her whole life. How they can stick their hand in your chest and rip out your heart without you ever seeing it. But she knows the stigmas are wrong. After all, she’s a Ghost herself. But when her brother is wrongly accused of a mass attack, her usual efforts to win people over won’t be enough to free him. She’s going to need some help.
Enter Killian James. Killian has only one mission in life: to take down the Organization and get his revenge. When the arrest of a young Ghost appears to be connected to the very group that Killian has spent over a decade hunting, he decides to look into it. Turns out that the young Ghost has a sister who’s willing to do anything to free her brother. Even work with Killian.
Thea isn’t sure that making a deal with the infamous Vampire is in her best interest, but it is in her brother’s. So, despite Killian’s reputation and his indifferent attitude, she agrees to partner up with him. Between his connections and her Ghostly skillset, they should be able to free her brother and put an end to the Organization. If they don’t die first.
But Killian has become fond of the Ghost that haunts the cold cavity where his heart used to be, and he’ll employ any measures to keep her safe. No matter the cost.
My Ghost Only Haunts Her Favorite Vampires is the first book in The Haunted Lovers Department. This is a series of Halloween themed standalones set in a cozy world where it’s always autumn. These books, like all of Rachel E. Scott’s books, are clean reads that have no gratuitous violence, sex, or vulgar language.
*While these books are inspired by Halloween, none of the creatures nor the story elements are creepy or gruesome in any way. These books can be read in any order but are best read chronologically.
Run, Little Wolf (The Poets of Once Upon a Time Book 1)
What happens when the beast is a petulant manchild and the beauty is a runaway spy? Mutual loathing, distrust, and brutal battles of wit…
Stella is an indentured spy to the duke, a cruel man who uses her past as leverage to keep her in his employment. So, when she sees an opportunity to finally get away for good, she takes it. But instead of finding freedom, she finds an arrogant beast of a man and his cursed manor.
Alistair is a product of his environment, a swaying branch that always follows the richest winds. But being held captive by a curse for the past four years has somewhat dampened his zeal for money and prestige. Now all he wants is to be free of the curse and seek revenge on the one who abandoned him to it. He has no time or patience for unwanted houseguests, he has vengeance to plot.
But Stella has no patience for Alistair either. All she wants is her freedom, which won’t be so easily obtained when she discovers that the curse is keeping her locked in the manor with Alistair. The two have no choice but to either join forces to free themselves.
But that shouldn’t be a problem for two trusting, honest people. Too bad they’re neither of those things.
Run, Little Wolf is the first book in The Poets of Once Upon a Time series. This is a series of standalone fairytale retellings that can be read in any order. These books, like all of Rachel E. Scott’s books, are clean reads that have no gratuitous violence, sex, or vulgar language.
(To make it clear, even though the title says 'wolf', this book does not have any animal shifters or Red Riding Hood themes. The title is purely a reflection of the character and her journey.)
Stale-Mate (A Tale of Ribbons + Claws Book 1)
She might look like a daydream, but she’s more interested in revenge than lipstick and lashes.
He might look like a nightmare, but he’s more than his dark ancestry and formidable appearance would have her believe.
When her path of vengeance intertwines with his murky road to redemption, the two of them will either come to an agreement, or come to blows.
Have you ever been underestimated because of the way you look? Me too. But I do it on purpose.
I’m Caroline, lover of ribbons, frilly skirts and curly hair—mostly because they’re all great places to hide spy equipment. Plus, my girly appearance also doubles as the perfect cover. No one suspects the innocent girl with the pretty smile and the pink Converse. Which means that no one knows I’m the spy walking the streets of Shifter Haven, cleaning up the Shifter Council one shady council member at a time.
I have my reasons for my vendetta; I won’t get into them here. But let’s just say that being an ‘extinct’ species—one that people want to remain extinct—hasn’t been fun. And after years of living like a secret, I got tired of being the hunted. So, instead, I became the hunter.
Well at least I was the hunter. Until he showed up.
Morgan Hohlt is a major pain in the backside—he also just has a majorly nice backside, but that’s beside the point. From disrupting my missions, to kidnapping me—yeah, I’m still pretty ticked about that—he’s gotten on my last nerve. Although, in his defense, someone is trying to kill me, so I might’ve needed just a little interference.
But the longer we’re forced to work together, the more I’m beginning to wonder if all the rumors I’ve heard about him are true. Because how can a man who loves my dog and buys me junk food be so evil and malicious like they say he is?
Don’t get me wrong, Morgan and I will always be enemies, and he’ll always annoy me to the very edge of my sanity, but maybe he’s not totally terrible. At the very least, he’s not terrible to look at. So, there’s that…
This book is perfect for fans of K.M. Shea and Shari L Tapscott! Stale-Mate is a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and the 1st book in an urban fantasy trilogy that includes an array of fantasy shifting creatures interacting with the mundane human world, and of course tons of sassy humor and swoony romance. This book has no sex, no swearing, and no graphic violence.
Bond-Mate (A Tale of Ribbons + Claws Book 2)
She’s spent her whole life trying to prove that she’s more than a pretty face.
He’s spent years believing that he’s no more than a beast.
When their separate battles become one war, their tactics will have to change—if for no one else, then for each other.
Caroline:
I don’t ask for much in life. A constant supply of snack foods, Barbie’s dream closet, and to continue my work as the vigilante of Shifter Haven. Simple, right? I thought so, too. But then he showed up.
Morgan:
I showed up? More like Caroline crashed into my life and broke everything in the process. Including all my rules about never falling in love again…
Caroline:
I don't break rules, I bend them.
Morgan:
...
Caroline:
Okay, fine, I'm a bull in a China shop. Whatever. The point is that even though we beat the bad guy, I'm still being hunted, Morgan's still under fire, and somewhere out there is someone who's in the market for an Elf.
If we thought we were behind the eight ball before, it's even worse now….
Morgan:
And speaking of being behind the eight ball, not only do we not know who we can trust or how to keep each other alive, but I'm also harboring a secret from Caroline...
Why don't I just man up and tell her the truth? Because I'm a coward, and if I tell her the truth too soon, I'm afraid I'll never get the chance to see if that smart mouth of hers tastes as snarky as it looks...

Check-Mate (A Tale of Ribbons + Claws Book 3)
This daydream might have traded in her lock picks to lock down the beast instead. But will she trade her spot in the shadows for something…shinier?
This nightmare may have traded in his claws for being her hand to hold. But will he trade his dark reputation if it’s the only thing keeping her safe?
It’s the final chapter, and while Caroline’s new situation has put her further in danger, Morgan has suddenly become the hunted. Will this snarky, flirtatious duo finally win this twisted game of subterfuge? Or will they lose in the end?
Caroline:
Have you ever been in a fight, knocked down time after time, and yet you keep making the idiotic decision to not only stand back up, but taunt your opponent while you’re at it? Nope? Just me…That checks out.
In my defense, I’m a spy—and I’m dang good at it too. Lock picking, profiling, manipulating my targets so they not only don’t suspect me, but blindly smile at me while I swindle them are all weapons I carry in my arsenal. This new game of politics though? That, I’m pathetically unarmed for. At a glance, it would seem lucky that I just so happen to have a Chief in my circle of people…That is, if said Chief were more of a help and less of a distraction…
Morgan:
She thinks I’m the distraction? That’s rich, considering she’s the reason I’m struggling to keep my cool lately. It wasn’t enough that she has me on edge over…us…but she’s once again at the center of conflict. I’m beginning to think it’s part of the Caroline operating system—‘must make a scene of every moment I’m in’. It’d be driving me crazy if I wasn’t so freaking into her.
Caroline:
Again with you blaming me for all the chaos. It’s not my fault that chaos finds me attractive, Morgan.
Morgan:
No, it’s my problem. Because she’s my problem—and she will be forever, if I have anything to say about it.
First though, we just have to find the culprit—or culprits—who are after her, locate a missing group of people, straighten out the seemingly many compromised government officials, and deal with Caroline’s new job. The one that’s almost gotten her killed already.
And all of those things will require that the two of us work very closely together, probably in tight, poorly lit spaces...How unfortunate...

The Grinch Next Door
I’m the Grinch hiding from all the nosy Who’s in my life.
And this Christmas, a cabin alone in the woods is my Mount Crumpit.
The only problem is...it comes with a neighbor.
When my flight to join my family for Christmas was cancelled, I jumped at the chance to be alone. After all, as all jaded singles know, Christmas is the worst time for a single woman to be around her loved ones. Who ask questions, make comments, and suggest blind dates with their neighbor’s nephew’s roommate. No thank you.
Thankfully, my best friend just so happens to run a dated dude ranch that’s empty for the holidays...or so I thought.
When I arrive, fully prepared to hole up like a grinchy hobbit, eating seven meals a day and shouting until my echoes shout back at me in true Grinch fashion, the last thing I expect is to find a neighbor staying in the cabin right next to me.
Liam Cartwright may be the Wade Kinsella of my dreams, but his enthusiasm for Christmas is more than I can handle. But when we’re forced to combine our Christmas vacations and spend it together, I find myself wondering why I found him so annoying in the first place...
Never mind. He just came out of his room wearing a Christmas onesie and antlers. I’m officially annoyed again.
This book is perfect for fans of Shari L Tapscott and Emma St Clair! This novella includes tons of sassy humor and swoony romance, without any sex or swearing!
Legends of Avalon were the first books I ever published. Since then, I’ve learned a lot and grown so much. So before you read these two books, know that the third book has not been written. I will be rewriting the series eventually, and you will need to read the new versions of books 1 and 2 in order to understand book 3. So read the original books knowing that the series will be overhauled eventually.
Legends of Avalon: Merlin
She’s orphaned.
She’s falling for one man while leaning on the other’s shoulder.
And she’s riddled with magical blood.
She's a classic TV show lead—but this show's just getting started.
25 should qualify as too old to be cast as the leading lady with all the problems, but Daphne Sax isn't so lucky. Coming off the toughest year of her life, she thought she’d already survived life’s hardest moments. Expecting nothing more than to live out the rest of her days running her family Christmas tree farm with her polar bear sized dog, and never knowing the pain of running out of PopTarts, one glimpse at a castle in the middle of her little farm town has all those expectations going up in flames.
Legends have come to life and Daphne's world gets complicated as she discovers that she's the only living descendant of the wizard Merlin. But her life is much more complicated than a simple remake of the BBC TV show. Hunted, orphaned, and way out of her depth, Daphne has to learn to play this magical game of mystery—and fast.
Survival is the priority, and yet both her playful confidant with the cheeky smile and her broody bodyguard with the startling green eyes are making things more complicated—something she didn't know was possible anymore. With shoulders aplenty to lean on and people in her corner, Daphne won’t be kept down this time, because now she has something she hasn’t had in a while—a family to fight for. Can she win this game of power plays, or is Daphne's season destined to be cancelled?
Legends of Avalon is clean adult trilogy, with exciting adventure and simmering romance that are neither graphic nor spicy.
