Here We Go…
Hello fellow readers or writers!
Today is my first blog post ever, and to be honest, I’m not completely certain what I’ll be talking about. Mostly, I’d like to welcome you here. I’m glad you came and checked out the website and I hope you find something on here that you find helpful! This blog, especially, I’d like to be a place where we talk honestly about the writing process—which is freaking hard. I want to be open and helpful for those of you that need support or advice or just need to know that you’re not the only one struggling.
I guess for today, I’ll just keep it simple. Writing at all is hard, but writing a book can feel impossible. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done—and yes, the most rewarding too. You’ll cry, scream, throw things, complain, and contemplate committing various crimes while writing (and publishing) a book. But man, will you love it. It’s a massive undertaking, and I haven’t regretted a single second of it. I’ve laughed, pumped my fists in victory, grinned like an idiot and never felt more alive and content than when I have while doing this process.
It might kill you a little, but it’ll also build you up and fill you up. Writing a book is hard, but the life I lived before writing one was somehow harder. Because this is what fills me up and brings me contentment. So, if you’re on the struggle bus (welcome), you’re not alone. This process is easy for literally NO ONE, and we all manage to get to the finish line eventually. So, enjoy my finish line with me, and let’s go on the writing journey together!
Thank you for being here!
